Message of our Dramas
The Bible records true stories about many great things God has done. Some examples are the protection of Daniel when he was thrown into the lion’s den; the defeat of the giant Goliath by David with a sling and a stone; the preservation of Joseph even though his brothers sold him into slavery; and how Christ changed Saul, the murderer of Christians, to Paul, the great missionary for Christ. The purpose of our plays is to give Christian drama groups an opportunity to present the Gospel and to show that God is Able to do more than we can even ask or think! Our hope is to tell the stories of how God is Able to do great things even in the inner-city.
God Is Able
Knowing that God is Able to do above all that we can even ask or think should encourage us to attempt great things for him, even in danger. The Bible says in Jeremiah 32:17, “Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:”
A Real Victor for Christ is not often a mighty Goliath that towers over his enemies, but rather it is someone who has faith in God even though the odds are against him. Because David knew God was able to help him defeat Goliath, he became a great victorious Biblical character. In I Samuel 17:37 David said, “the Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine.”
